How We Became Interactive

Did you know that you don’t have to file taxes until you make more than $400 in a year as a business owner? I’d say neither did I but it’s my job to find that type of information for you. We are less than two weeks away from launching our subscription service that will regularly give subscribers useful information like this. But, let’s take a step back so that I can explain how I discovered this information. Being an interactive digital magazine we don’t just post a ton of content that we assume you need. Of course there is basic need to know business material that we make sure we cover, but we actually had a reader that contacted us last December with tax concerns for a business that hadn’t yet got off the ground.  We went through our network of business professionals and had more than 10 articles at her disposal the next morning.

This wasn’t the first time we had done something like that, but she loved how personal we made our relationship with her. We even went out of our way to establish connections with accountants that lived near her.  Naturally, you don’t hide a good thing and she began to tell some of her business colleagues what we had done for her.  It wasn’t long before they were contacting us with questions of their own and it was at this point that we began to make our transition into an interactive digital magazine. Actually figuring out that helping individuals in a personal way would work was discovered almost by accident. We had thought of the idea but we took it to another level when we decided to just go out and find the information for our readers instead of just telling them where it could be found at. How many magazines, digital or not, do you know that provide that type of convenience?
