Meeting Deadlines

There are many different ways that you can attract new customers to your business. However one of the simplest ways is to meet your deadlines with high quality work. Why? Ask any business owner and they will tell you that word of mouth advertising is the best form of advertising that they utilize. Meeting deadlines that you have set with clients or other business partnerships is a great way to positively affect how others talk about your business. I’m sure that if you take a moment to think about it you can come up with a time that someone referred you to someone that did excellent work. On the other hand, I’m sure that you can just as easily think of a business that you didn’t use because you heard bad things about them. Research shows that people are more likely to use someone that a friend recommends first. This is why word of mouth advertising is so important to the success of your business.

From a business standpoint you want others to be able to take your word when you give it to them that you will get things done right and on time the first time. Here at Business Empire we have already made a few connections with business owners that were interested in using a joint venture to complete a project. On a daily basis we get business owners, consumers or students that contact us about referring them to someone for help. Fortunately for us our contact network is quite large but I admit that if someone contacts me for help with something such as inventions, I first start with my good friend Brian Boothe( CEO of Corsair-EDA) to see if he may help them before I move down my list of other contacts. Not only is he a local contact in my area but I have worked with him before and had the people I referred to him give me positive feedback about him. That is just one example to illustrate the point, but meeting your deadlines is a good way to be the first thing that comes to other’s mind in a similar situation. Pretty simple huh? All you’re doing is telling someone the date that you plan to have a project completed by and then actually doing it. Keeping both your staff and your client updated on the status of a project works wonders as well. When everyone is on the same page everything works better and hopefully in the rare case that you have to push a deadline back others are more understanding—just don’t make that happen too often.
